Dear Parents,
If you have a child in Kindergarten
through 12th grade in the Buffalo Public School system,
I have some very important questions to ask you . . .
*Does your child attend one of the following
schools? 6, 8, 9, 11, 19, 27, 37, 38, 39, 40, 43,
44, 45, 53, 72, 74, 93, 94, 202, or 301?
*Do you want to improve your child's grades?
If you answered "yes" to
either of the above questions, the Buffalo Urban League can provide
immediate help and assistance to you and your child(ren). Just
call us today at 854-7625 to receive information about
this program designed to help your child succeed!
Here's how the program works. The federal government
has provided funds to agencies to help children receive individualized
tutoring in math and reading. These agencies will provide certified
teachers and tutors to develop customized programs for each child.
The teachers and tutors will team up with you and your child to ensure
steady improvement in their learning.
There is no charge for a child or
the child's family to participate in the program if the child attends
one of the above listed schools and if they qualify for the free
lunch program.
The Buffalo Urban League is proud to be a provider
agency and we are very excited about the opportunity to help your child(ren)
make dramatic improvements in their schooling. The Buffalo Urban League
is committed to hiring the best available teachers and tutors, using
modern computer-based learning programs to make the experience enjoyable
and interesting while your child learns!
The program begins November 1,2003, so timing
is crutial. We hope you will take advantage of this important opportunity
and call us today so that we can work with you and your child to acheive
their very best!
