Anyone who tests positive for COVID-19 will need to quarantine for 14 (fourteen) days in accordance with MCHD and CDC guidelines. A note from a primary care or medical staff must be provided to confirm a safe return to work or program. OPWDD, MCHD, and Care Coordinators will be informed of participants who test positive for COVID-19 while also maintaining HIPAA.
Because the COVID-19 pandemic has most severely impacted Black communities throughout New York State and across the nation, it is in these communities where information and outreach must be concentrated and shared with urgency. Committed and invested community members like you are needed to act as trusted ambassadors.
• Learn more about COVID-19 prevention methods and why it is important to educate your community about the vaccine.
• Talk to your community about COVID-19 prevention.
• Mobilize your community to get active in sharing verified information with others in the neighborhood.
Our services are vital to the Buffalo community, so we’ve worked hard to plan to re-open our programs in a safe manner so we can continue to empower the community and change lives.
If you have any questions about what we’re doing to ensure your safety during this time, or if you want to know more about virtual services, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
